GALA FOR JAPAN
On May 26, 2011, a gala benefit concert for the
victims of the devastating Tohoku earthquake and tsunami was held at the
Rustaveli State Drama Theatre. Below are photos and the official press

The gala was presented at the Rustaveli
State Drama Theatre on May 26, the State Independence Day of Georgia. The
event was attended by the representatives of diplomatic corps present in
Georgia, invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Expressing consolation
to the people of Japan on this important date for Georgia speaks of the
significant mutual respect and friendship between the countries and this was
the topic of the pre-concert speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr.
Grigol Vashadze. Monsignor Claudio Guggerotti expressed the gratitude in the
name of the diplomatic corps.
